The Proof Is In The Sample.
The Proof Is In The Sample.
Grain Pan ; The Axial-Flow 240 Series combines use an "active grain pan" to move grain and "MOG" to the cleaning system. ; The reciprocating action of the active grain pan begins to stratify the large volume of crop by moving the grain to the bottom of the grain pan while the MOG stays at the top; This makes the sieves more efficient
Cross Flow Fan; It is important to have plenty of air flow for clearing and a consistent balanced air flow supple. ; The Cross Flow cleaning fan supplies both of these. ; Air enters the full width fan from the top, not the sides. ; After entering the fan, a vortex is created which super charges the air-flow, giving a full balanced flow to the entire sieve.
Self-Leveling Sieves ; The entire cleaning system self-levels up to 12 percent each way. ; The active grain pan and cleaning fan are also self-leveling. ; Case IH does not disappoint with its industry leading cleaning systems. In the harvesting industry, cleaning size does matter. ; Axial-Flow 240 series really set the standard with a whopping 10,075 sq. in. sieve area. ; Axial-flow 140 series has a very large cleaning system for its class size for maximum capacity of 7,947 sq. in. ; In most cases, Case IH offers the largest cleaning system
TRI-Sweep Tailings Processor ; The tailing processor uses a series of three, four-bladed impellers to transport the material. ; As the material is discharged from the tailings auger, it enters the lower impeller unit. The material is pressed between the impeller paddles and the clean-out door which works as a concave. ; The aggressive movement of material across the paddle and concave perform the required rethreshing; The material is then returned to the grain pan instead of the rotor, which reduces rotor loads
- Grain Handling
Reduce Your Unload Time
Large grain tanks, longer augers and quick-folding, no-tools-required grain tanks extensions are standard on all Axial-Flow combine models. The new 40 series, with an all-new upgraded unload system, raises the bar with up to 40 percent faster unload times.
Clean Grain Elevator ; The 240 Series feature an impressive high capacity clean grain elevator; The clean grain elevator is capacity rated at 8,000 bu. hr. ; The elevator is also a two speed design. Speed is changed by moving the drive belt to either the high or the low speed pulley.
Dual Drive Unload System ; Optional on 7240 and 8240, Standard on 9240. ; Provides the ability to turn off cross augers independent of unload auger. ; Allows unload auger to be emptied with grain in the tank. ; Reduces start up stress by turning the unload auger on a split second before the cross augers.
Grain Tank ; 250 bu. on 5140 or optional 300 bu.300 bu. on 6140 & 7140; 315 bu. on 7240, 410 bu. on 8240 & 9240; Standard no tools required quick folding extensions.
High Unload Rates ; 5140 unload 2.5 bu./sec. ; 6140/7140 unload 3.2 bu./sec. ; 7240/8240 unload 4.0 bu./sec. ; 9240 unload 4.5 bu./sec. ; High unload rates mean grain carts spend less time under the unloading auger.
Pivoting Spout ; Operator controlled using the propulsion handle. ; Controls grain stream 2-3 feet. ; Acts as a grain saver when unloader is shut off.

- Model Year 2015 Enhancements
New Model Year 2015 Axial-Flow Combine Enhancements.
Like their legendary predecessors, new Axial-Flow 240 series combines will deliver the top performance that producers have come to expect, and more. More high quality grain, simplicity, crop adaptability, matched capacity, and top resale values – plus unmatched horsepower in their respective classes. AFS Connect 2.0 Compatible - New this year for Axial-Flow 240 combines is the AFS Connect 2.0 fleet management and maintenance monitoring solution, giving producers the power to use their global positioning systems and cellular technology to send and receive agronomic and job-site information. This newest telematics technology will help producers track combines, grain carts and semis and improve productivity with up-to-the-minute harvest information. Like never before, Case IH helps producers be ready and maximize their potential return on investment.
New 7240, 8240 AND 9240 Models - Unlike complex competitive designs with more parts, more heat and more opportunities for trouble, Case IH models require only one turbocharger, no diesel particulate filter, no exhaust gas recirculation system and no operational changes when upgrading from Tier 4A Case IH models. Since engine exposure to soot and carbon are minimized, service intervals are extended – including an industry leading 600 hours between oil changes.;
Whether using the 7240 with 403 rated horsepower (hp), the 8240 with 480 hp or the 9240 with 550 hp, producers will power through demanding field conditions and handle heavy loads.Exclusive CVT Drives - Producers need to maximize time available for harvest, especially when harvest windows are narrow. To keep them up and running, Axial-Flow 240 series combines continue to use low-maintenance Power Plus Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) drives, significantly reducing the use of chains and belts. This unique, but proven, drive system also features the industry’s o

- Single Rotor Technology
A Single-Minded Approach To Perfecting Single Rotor Design.
In the 38 years since we introduced our first combine featuring the Axial-Flow single rotor design, we’ve done nothing but refine and improve its performance. Now available on six models, each giving you superior grain quality and incredible overall value. We determined early on that a single rotor design was the right solution, and as the only manufacturer with this technology, we’re proud to bring it to you.
Axial-Flow Rotors ; Axial-Flow single rotor technology has led the industry since 1977. The 40 series combines utilize this advanced rotor technology. ; This Case IH revolutionary technology provides a simple design that produces superior grain quality and a better value than any other combine on the market. ; Consists of a single rotor with a concentric cage for threshing and separating, with fewer parts, fewer adjustments, and less maintenance; Efficiently moves material through the rotor cage, regardless of crop or conditions, to maintain crop flow and crop control ; Multiple-pass threshing and 360-degree centrifugal-force separation results in: ; More complete, gentle threshing; Increased grain separation; Less damage to grain; Smooth, uninterrupted crop flow; Reduces horsepower demands; Improves fuel economy; Reduces wear on threshing components
- Threshing & Separating; Take Control Of Your Harvest. ; We pioneered rotor development back in the 1960’s. Since then, refinements, enhancements, and improvements have led to the pinnacle in rotor performance, the AFX rotor. It features constant pitch impellers that draw the crop and air into the rotor. The AFX rotor can be set into many configurations, adapting to both crop and threshing conditions with the use of straight bars, spiked rasp bars, and helical kickers. Competitive rotor and cage designs can reduce productivity, and increase grain damage because of inefficient feeding and crop-control designs. ; Transition Cone & Rotor Impellers; Patented transition cone vanes along with rotor impellers sweep crop from feeder and gently accelerate to threshing speed. ; Requires no moving parts to gently accelerate crop to threshing speed. ; Ensures maximum capacity and throughput while reducing potential crop damage; Transition cone and impeller draws in approximately 1,100 cu. ft/sec through feeder providing increased visibility in dusty conditions
AFX Rotor; 30" diameter AFX rotor design provides multiple pass grain-on-grain threshing along with centrifugal force separation; ST Rice Rotor is designed to handle tough rice conditions, while providing smoother feeding and improved operational characteristics. ; ST Rotor - The overall rotor tube diameter has been reduced and the addition of taller rasp bars allows for more of the tough rice straw to work its way through the entire length of the rotor.
Rotor Drive ; All 240 Series rotors are driven by the Industry Exclusive Power Plus CVT drive that provides shaft driven power to the rotor. ; The CVT drive allows for in-cab rotor deslugging and reversing; The combine can be operated at its full potential without fear of plugging or slipping a rotor belt.
Rotor Cage ; High capacity separating means harvesting more of what your grow and more money in the bank. ; This is especial
